Can I use Optemizely to carry data from one page to another during redirect?

NUB ALERT:  I would like to carry form data from one page to another, but I'm not sure how to do that using A/B testing. I can send data via query-string If I knew the exact page I'm redirecting to, but It's a little different using Optimizely. Can I somehow add JS which will grab then data and store it temporarily during the redirect so the next page can retrieve it? Or, is a cookie/local storage the answer?

Hi Squeeb,

There are a few things that can be done on the given situation:

1) If the redirect is to a different domain then you can use the query-string option. While setting up the redirect test you can programmatically extract the query strings and attach them to the redirect URL using the code based implementation in place of URL based implementation.

2) If the redirect is to the same domain then you can also use the local storage option to store the data locally and access it on the redirected URL using javascript.
