Custom Events Triggered On Window

Will Optimizely 'hear' events that are triggered on window generically, i.e., $('window').trigger('...'); or do I have to push them to Optimizely via the recommended window.optimizely.push([...])?

Thank you!

Re: Custom Events Triggered On Window

You can accomplish this both ways. Either by click of an element or by as you mentioned a custom event - optimizely.push([...])

Re: Custom Events Triggered On Window

To confirm, if I choose to do this by custom event, I MUST use optimizely.push([...]), correct? (Meaning, optimizely won't listen for custom events triggered on window...)

Correct. More information can be read here - https://help.optimizely.com/Measure_success%3A_Track_visitor_behaviors/Custom_event_goals_in_Optimiz...

Including how to test if it is working properly.
