Having trouble removing user from experiment

I have tried using removeFromAudience and removeFromAllAudiences in the experiment JS if someone changes the default layout, but doesn't seem to be working. the experiment stays active in the browser.

$('section.layout-search-results').on('click', 'ul.meta-links.inline li.search-results-link-icon', function() {
window.optimizely = window.optimizely|| [];
window.optimizely.push(['removeFromAllAudiences']);
});

Is there another way I should be doing this? I am defaulting a layout as the variation and if they choose a different layout I want to exclude them from experiment so their click events from the new layout don't get attributed falsely to the variation user bucket.

Hi RussD,

Thanks for reaching out to Optimizely Support!

I took a look at your account and noticed that your website was password-protected. Will you be able to send me login details in a private message so I can take a closer look? This will allow me to diagnose what the root cause is.

Let's get to the bottom of this!

Best,

I figured out how to see the log in the console and saw that it was working correctly. Thanks anyway.
