Is an event included in metrics depending on the page it was triggered?

[ Edited ]

I don't fully understand how events are included in an experiment's metric. Lets say that a click event can be sent from a page where an experiment runs (P1) and from a page (P2) where the same experiment does not run. What happens with the metrics? Is the event counted twice on the experiment metric even when the second page is not set as target of the experiment?

Events are goals that are either "met" or "not met".. aka "serialized". You either have done it or have not done it.
The dashboard gives you the number of Visitors in each version of the experiment and the number of visitors who met that goal after they were placed into that version of the experiment.
