Optimizely & Domo

Our team is interested in pulling our Optimizely data into Domo. We want to do this in order to improve our insights and reporting on the funnels we're creating/testing.

Does anyone in the Optiverse have experience and/or resources for exporting Optimizely data automatically?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Optimizely & Domo

Hi @tophergu,

Great question, and we always love hearing about interesting third-party integration use cases!

The best way to get raw data in real time and make it available to a system of your choice is to read from our data object for experiment and variation information, and recreate our goals.

You can see another Community post here from just this morning where I provided an example approach to parsing our data object and connecting that data to a client-side endpoint.

If you need to supplement this attribution data with actual event information you're firing in Optimizely natively, you have two choices:
  1. Recreate our native event XHR and point that URL to a Domo endpoint you can expose client-side, or
  2. Creating your own AJAX calls, XHRs, or some other client-side action that mimic/listen to our goals

Does that sound like a good place to start?  Could you share some of the more specific things you're trying to do in Domo?

Thanks!
