Custom Goal tracking issue on first iOS app start

Hi all,

I noticed an issue when trying to track a custom goal after the first start (first installation) of my iOS app. As suggest by the documentation I putted the start of the SDK inside the application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions method. If i restart the application, the tracking starts to work properly.

Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks!

Re: Custom Goal tracking issue on first iOS app start

Hi mariano86,

Thanks for reaching out to Optimizely!

Would you be able to send your app log over on the first start on the app?

Please keep in mind that in order to send a custom event, the experiment in which this goal belongs to will need to be marked as viewed. In order for an experiment to be marked as viewed, you'll need a see a visual change made in the Editor or access a Live Variable/CodeBlock.

Also, you need to make sure Optimizely is fully loaded before sending the custom event. This is particularly relevant if you've decided to start Optimizely asynchronously.

I hope that is helpful. Feel more than free to reply back with any additional questions at all.

Best,
David
