Have you ever been surprised by a test result? Tell us your story and be entered to win an Apple TV.


In many cases, the HiPPO (highest paid person’s opinion) still reigns. Optimization allows us to challenge our assumptions on what is best for the visitor. Oftentimes, the result of the test is extraordinary and counterintuitive. At the end of the day, it’s why we test, right?

How can you win?


  • Submit a surprising test result to the “Testing Ideas & Successes" Board in Optiverse, and you’ll receive one contest entry.

  • Be sure to include your hypothesis, a description of the test, images of the variations (if possible), and the results of the test.

Even in testing, losses are big wins. It is common knowledge you can’t win ‘em all, and sometimes losses come hard. Knowing and understanding the value of those losses is where some great wins come to light. The business of CRO has never been, and never will be, based on assumptions. We take industry best practices and analytical data in combination with business goals and objectives to formulate testing hypotheses we think will result in the outcome we hope for; sometimes it is the opposite of what we thought we would see.
