Goal Interface Improvements

Status: Done
by thisbetom ‎05-10-2014 May 10, 2014

Enterprise clients have a hard time searching/applying correct goals and/or documenting them fully in the name field alone

1) Search textbox to filter within goals modal

2) Ability to add descriptions to goals (similar to use segments)

3) Remove vs Delete could also be more user friendly in their interactions. Kinda confusing setup at this point.

Also adding the selector to click tracking: "The percentage of visitors who clicked on the tracked element: {selector}"

You can filter your goals with a search box now. We're working on adding descriptions for goals and a clearer interface around removing vs. deleting.

Thanks @JonN ! Something around "archive" would be nice too. E.g., we have a legacy "add to cart" goal that's over 4 weeks old tied to a bad selector - we can't delete it as then the data/reporting is deleted, but we also want people to stop using it (aka just archive it from showing up in the UI).

So either a) something around archiving or b) edit names for goals > 4 weeks old.

Thanks @tomfuertes . Yep, I agree that an archive model for goals would be better than deletion for most cases. We're working on a better goals dialog soon, stay tuned!

Today we launched a new goals tab for the dashboard where you can search over all your goals and archive the ones you aren't using, rather than deleting them outright. Hope that helps!
