I would love to see the time spent on the page, this could perhaps be added to the Engagement goal.
For me it's about how long it took to make a selection.
I think this is an interesting metric...
It is something that can be tracked in Google Analytics.
Thanks for posting this idea. Yes, the best way to do this for the time being is to integrate your Optimizely experiemnt with GA. This will easily let you see time on page. For details on how to do this, check out our support article here.
My google analytics time on page for experiments looks much different than any other GA report. I keep getting this format: 4468:03:48(33.14%). Is this what others see and do you know how to interpret it?
Is there a way to test time on site or time on page in Optimizely without integrating with Google Analytics? We use Omniture instead of GA, but I'd rather pull this data directly from Optimizely if possible.
@bmmdis - unfortunately this is not a metric we have available right now, but we are working on building out goals that should be much more interesting than just engagement alone.
Stay tuned. Our Product Team will update this idea. I'd encourage you to share this idea with your friends colleagues as well.
I'd love to see goals added for time on site per variation as well as time on page.
Yes, I would like to see more predefined goals one which is time on site.
This is something that would make evaluating specific points in the user funnel much easier from a variation perspective. How do I upvote this suggestion 9,000 times?
I think this is a key feature to have on a A/B test tool, since some tests return much better results with this as a goal... Some times using optimizely I came short on statistical significance because I really didn't had any goals that would show much difference, time was really the best option, and since I didn't had that option, I was forced to use the results from other less significant goals.
And guys, remember to click the rocket with a + to vote for the Idea!
It's sad that this idea and the Bounce Rate idea were posted 1 year ago but nothing has happened yet. The 3 most simple and fundamental metrics in GA are Bounce Rate, Session Duration (Time on Site) and Pages per session. I'd love to have any of them in Optimizely results.
Is it any progress on this Idea yet? or any plan to add in near future? This feature is worth implemented.
Any updates on adding this as a metric?
I'm also working on a project that doesn't have Google Analytics. I'd love to see this as part of Optimizely.
