Allow Testers to Document Experiment Hypotheses

Status: Done
by Optimizely ‎07-29-2014 July 29, 2014

Could we create an entry field in Optimizely where users can enter an experiment's hypotheses.

Status: Done

We use several Google Analytics dimensions. But for every new experiment, I first have to click through all the running experiments to find out which dimension is not in at the moment.

It would be awesome if Optimizely would show me the dimensions already occupied by my currently running experiments. This information is best shown in the modal where I have to choose the dimension of my new project.

ok, I cross fingers that there is an empty spot on the roadmap for this feature ;-)

Status: Working On It!

Thank you Patrick for the feedback!  We're aware of this issue and we're working on changing the way you configure integrations in the product.  As part of this you will be able to see which GA dimensions are already occupied by currently running experiments.

Email Notifications for experiments

Would it be possible to trigger a dynamic notification (lets go with email for simplicity sakes) for experiments that:

  • Have hit statistical significance for specified set of goals (so 1 or more)
  • Have hit a consistent statistical significance over a user specified duration

In both instances the test designer would dictate the duration and the specific goals of interest.

Business Case.

Imagine running 20+ tests across multiple accounts and having to check them periodically to understand whether the experiments have completed based upon multiple goals, some primary, some secondary. Like you would in a marketing agency, for example.

Perhaps another approach would be to allow users to set a scheduled/periodic email containing a CSV or Excel report for a specific experiment. That might save users time on exports and, dare I say, an easy (consistent) interim solution for those of us who like to scrape the results data out of our experiments and push it into "fancy" dashboards.

Just sayin' - Thoughts?
