Optimize Single-Page Apps with Ease

Hi Optinauts,

Modern web dev tools have made web apps more engaging than ever before. A lot of Optimizely customers are already using these new techniques to create powerful, single-page web apps, but it hasn’t always been easy to A/B test these pages using Optimizely.

That’s why we’re excited to announce Conditional Activation, a new Activation Mode setting that lets you activate an experiment on a page dynamically after the page has loaded. This is an especially useful feature if your site is a single-page web app, where visitors take actions that change the page’s content without reloading it. When you enable Conditional Activation, only the users who take the conditional actions you care about will be bucketed into your experiment.

Here’s what the setting looks like:

Conditional Activation is available today for Platinum customers only. To get started, we’ve put together some developer examples of Conditional Activation in action – check them out here and let us know what you think.

Thanks,

Sean

This is a great new feature. Many of my experiments are using manual activation because some important condition can't be evaluated at load time. This would save a lot of time and development resources.

It's really unfortunate, however, that it's only available on enterprise plans; not even for Gold plans. It's a great time-saving feature, but not compelling enough to upgrade to enterprise.
