Removing Session & Retention Goals

On November 18, 2014, we released a Beta of our Retention Report as well as Session metrics to all Mobile Results pages as a part of  iOS SDK version 1.0.58. While these metrics and reports addressed specific customer pain-points and needs, the session metrics that powered the retention report had unintended consequences on the way experiments count visitors. Specifically “issue #1” in this post where we explain our over-reporting of visitors in iOS experiments.


While the team has been hard at work to address these issues, we have also decided to close this beta and temporarily remove these features. We hope to incorporate customer feedback until this point with and bring these features back in a better, revamped form in the future.
