We agree that number 4 (Remove distractions from a checkout funnel) is a very simple, but effective experiment direction - a style we have internally termed "less is more testing". As it sounds, this approach focuses on eliminating clutter to eliminate distractions away from desired CTAs or engagement. It is an easy lift using Optimizely's editor that typically requires little-to-no additional development resources and has the opportunity for big wins. Taking this one step further, expanding this method beyond checkout funnel can also generate general engagement lifts and increase average time spent on site.
