Product Detail Page A/B testing ideas

[ Edited ]

I'm working on improving conversion rates of our product detail pages on http://joeflorida.com.

you can see an example here: http://www.joeflorida.com/motorcycle-led-kit-288-leds-super-bright-touring-bike-multicolor/

Any ideas? What have you seen make improvements on your site(s)?

The first thing that jumps out at me is that the product images do not appear to uniformly fit inside the image box. It leave a lot of whitespace that makes it look like something is broken.

Product images are very important for users!

Above the fold I cannot see that you have product descriptions, other details and reviews at the bottom of the page... You could consider creating anchors above the fold for this content.

I agree with David, the first thing that I notice is the image and how it doesn't fit well within that space. But even if it did fit in that space I wonder if the size of the image is too large. It pushes all of the product information far down the page. Overall I'd find a way to get more information above the fold, right now there really isn't anything there. You would have more space available if you removed the left rail. Do you need that on this page type? If you didn't have the left rail you would have space for imagery, the product description, and a call to action all above the fold.

I'd also consider making your button larger and bringing it closer to the price. Right now they're separated by Controller Options. That flow is a little weird to me.

Hope that helps!

Brian & David, great observations. It really helps to have someone look with fresh eyes.
