Optimizely X Custom Events

With Optimizely classic I've used the below structure to create a custom event:

window['optimizely'] = window['optimizely'] || [];
window.optimizely.push(["trackEvent", "eventName"]);

Would this structure still work with Optimizely X? Even though the recommended code is slightly different.

Re: Optimizely X Custom Events

Thanks for the question. This syntax will work for both Optimizely Classic and Optimizely X. The new Optimizely X syntax allows users to send more contextual information about a user's events but the Classic syntax will stay work.

Let me know if you have further questions!

Re: Optimizely X Custom Events

Quick question: Would the old custom event implementation be phased out? If so, when?
