Can I exclude users from an entire experiment if they match a URL query parameter one time?

Can I exclude users from an entire experiment if they match a URL query parameter one time?

I'd like to exclude all users who were driven to my site from a specific email campaign. If I have a URL structure like this–

http://www.example.com?param1=emailcampaign

Can I exclude all users indefinitely that have param1=emailcampaign just once?

Yes you can by using URL_Targetting:

Not sure I follow. The experiment that I want to exclude these users from is sitewide, every page. But I want to exclude them from seeing and being bucketed into the experiment if they visit the site initially with a specified query string in the URL.

Why dont you creat a new audience and include visitors who are not from the parameter you want to exclude?

You can also create a cookie in the custom code and that way you can keep the audiences in the experiment who may no longer meet the initial requirements:

document.cookie = "haveSeenExp=True";
