How to enter URL for ALL Wordpress blog posts but not home page
Hi, I'm running an experiment on some sidebar text in my WP blog. I created the experiment on a single blog post URL, but I'd like it to work on ALL blog posts.
How can I target an experiment to NOT RUN on http://example.com but...
I *do* want it to run on all pages that have blog posts such as: http://example.com/post-name
Note: my blog has a static home page, which is different than the experiment pages.
My site is at http://invincibleviolinist.com
Current blog post experiment is at: http://invincibleviolinist.com/learn-violin-vibrato/
You can use RegEx matching to target the URL:
This targets URLs that start with invincibleviolinist.com/ AND have one or more characters after the forward slash. Thus invincibleviolinist.com/ (homepage) will not be included.
Note that the RegEx will also match other subpages like http://invincibleviolinist.com/contact/, so you should add those URLs (as substring match, for insance) as exclusions ("Do NOT include...").
As of right now there is not a configuration in the Wordpress plugin to facilitate URL targeting. However I do like your idea of allowing tests to be ran on all posts without using our traditional URL targeting methods. I can add that as a feature request, however if you happen to have any developers handy (or there are any on this thread) our plugin is open source and I would be happy to work with you to add the features you would like.
Wondering if it would be acceptable to recover the development cost by selling the plugin?
