Is it possible to block an IP address from seeing a test experience?

Hi,

I'm looking to block an internal IP address from viewing test expeiences. I know it is possible to remove an IP address from being included in results analysis but is it possible to completley exclude from an experiment?

Thanks,

Hi Lydia,

This is certainly possible on Optimizely's Enterprise plan, the same way you'd control how other visitors are eligible/ineligible to see test experience: Audiences.

You would set an Audience condition to target based on IP address (as we describe here: https://help.optimizely.com/hc/en-us/articles/201876450#ip) -- but keep in mind, like the article says, that this is an Enterprise Plan (Platinum) feature.

If you're on a different plan, you'll probably want to control this via IP filtering, which as you mentioned, doesn't block IP ranges from being eligible for the experiment, but does filter them out of the results calculations.

Please let me know if that makes sense or you have other questions!

Thanks,

Adam
