Issues for split URL test with the redirected url in robot.txt

Hi, I am testing two pages with separate URLs: original: www.abc.com/test variation: (I created a redirect to) www.abc.com/test-b I put /test-b in robot.txt but found out Google is saying /text is blocked in robot.txt as well. Could it be because the redirect causing Google thinks the original url is blocked too?

Re: Issues for split URL test with the redirected url in robot.txt

Hi there,

When you are using a redirect test a visitor who lands on your main page can get potentially redirected to the different URL with the same logic attached to it, that you implemented on your site. What is not clear to me is how the robot.txt usually behaves without the redirect.
Could you perhaps clarify to me what it is you are trying to do?

I am looking forward to you reply!
