Preview mode won't load... I don't know why. Trying via query parameters doesn't work either

Hi guys,

I'm trying to get preview mode to work but not having success unfortunately. This is to do with the following URLs and experiments:

www.aeromfg.com - homepage - experiment_id = 6374660209

www.aeromfg.com/aero-casework.php - experiment_id = 6340465987

I've tried the force preview parameters and that doesn't work either. Clicking from within the app gets me a never-ending loading screen (though I can see what I designed behind the overlay).

The dev I'm working with on this wrote me:

"I see the issue you are having and it is javascript throwing an error. Something about e.section[t]. I googled it and found nothing."

I'd be appreciative if you guys can help me sort this out, please Smiley Happy.

Optimizely is not on this page: http://www.aeromfg.com/aero-casework.php

On your homepage, you have an error in one of your image paths:

404 error on https://www.optimizelyedit.com/images/catalog.jpg

One issue you may have is that on your website, $ is not jQuery.

Try changing your variation's code form like:

$("#catalog-img img").attr({"src":"//cdn.optimizely.com/img/4391325403/e4a420077298476dad6220bef5932ba8.png"});
$(".environment").css({"left":"109px"});

To like:

jQuery("#catalog-img img").attr({"src":"//cdn.optimizely.com/img/4391325403/e4a420077298476dad6220bef5932ba8.png"});
jQuery(".environment").css({"left":"109px"});

Re: Preview mode won't load... I don't know why. Trying via query parameters doesn't work either

Hi there,

I have tested both of your URL with the force preview parameter and I can tell you the following:

Did you test the first URL with these parameters attached: http://www.aeromfg.com/?optimizely_x6374660209=0 and http://www.aeromfg.com/?optimizely_x6374660209=1? Because I was able to see the two variations and switch back and forth between them.

On the second page I can't find the Optimizely snippet and if it is not present you can't use the force view parameter. You can try and test the force view parameter again once the Optimizely snippet has been implemented .
Read more about using the force view parameter here: https://help.optimizely.com/QA_and_Troubleshoot/Force_a_specific_variation_to_run

There is also an other way to test your website and that is by using the test cookie. You can read more about how to set this up here: https://help.optimizely.com/QA_and_Troubleshoot/Set_a_test_cookie%3A_Preview_your_experiment_as_if_i....

I hope this helps!
