Pushing test-data to CRM system

[ Edited ]

Hi,

We`d like to push into our CRM system what test (A or B) a user was exposed to when purchasing a subscription through our site. This in order to evaluate the average lifetime value and retention rates of the customers brought in throught the individual test versions.

What is the best way to access what A/B-test version a user is exposed to? Our developers will access this data and push it into out CRM.

Thanks,

Espen

@noerbag The experiments affecting a current page and the variation that the user is assigned to are available in the "optimizely" object.

Have your developers check the first bookmarklet listed in this thread to learn how to access the information.

Thanks! Any idea what will be returned from those? The experiment ID?

Some of what is available depends on your settings.

The bookmarklet is set up to give "experiment name - variation name".  Running that code on this page tells me:

[Community] New Here (All traffic to Variation) - Variation #1

There should be enough information in there that a DEV can use it to learn how to navigate through the optimizely object to get at the information that you want to send in.
