Redirect Test - Variation Page not showing in Preview

Hello community,

I created a redirect test but the variation page is not showing. I mean, if I preview the experiment the original and variation are the same page. I did add the code snippet to the variation page but it still does not show.

I did add the code snippet to the variation page but it still does not show.

The original and the variation page are different domains, but I am using the same snippet. Is that right?

What could I do to solve the problem?

Thanks!

Yes for a successful experiment you should have the same snippet in all cases, otherwise there is no way for Optimziely to run, let alone track the results.

Also make sure you enable cross origin tracking:

https://help.optimizely.com/Set_Up_Optimizely/Cross-origin_targeting_in_Optimizely_X_Web

To further debug (and this is where it gets a bit technical) add the query parameter optimizely_log=info at the end of your URL and view the raw Optimizely logs in the browser's console (F12 on chrome). This way you could get to the bottom of things, and see what has failed, or its just a question that you have been bucketed to the original experience.
