Revenue Goal doesn't match GA revenue numbers

Hi,

We're facing a situation where Optie total revenue is more than 20% LESS than GA total revenue.

Time period the same

Optie total revenue taken from a checkout A/B test (50-50 traffic allocation).

* What could be the possible reasons?

* Does Optie include 100% of the population in the A and B samples (If no then what is the purpose for not including everyone)?

[e.g. 100 people visit the checkout page and optie allocates a randomly selected sample of 40 to A and a randomly selected sample of 40 to B]?

Sincerely,

Marie

Re: Revenue Goal doesn't match GA revenue numbers

Hi Marie,

Thanks for reaching out to Optiverse.

There might be different reasons why the GA revenue doesn't match the revenue which is tracked in Optimizely. Is your GA integration turned on within your experiment and if yes do the numbers between the GA report and Optimizely also differ?

In comparison to the revenue, is the amount of unique visitors also lower in Optimizely or do the numbers match?

Please ensure that your GA revenue call is implemented at the same location/position than the Optimizely revenue call and that both calls are executing at the same time.

Check your experiment's setup and please ensure that there is no other way for visitors to purchase an item without getting bucketed into the experiment .

Could you please provide some screenshots or a report?

Best,
Mario
