Targeting a Magento Product category without extension?

Hello, 

 

We are hoping to use optomizly on a catogory page to test some content changes and see how this efects user behavior. Does any one know if there is there a way to add the snippit to this page without adding the magento extention? 

 

We have a staging site we can add the extention to but getting extentions added to our live site is time consuming. I am hoping we can just drop the code in elese where?

You can use a tag manager, but I don't recommend it unless you have to. If you use a tag manager, be sure to have it fire the snippet as early as possible in the head of your site.

@robertchan's suggestion would be the quickest and fastest way of injecting a snippet onto your site if you're already using a tag manager.
