Test general Add to cart button text change

Is there a way to change the Add to cart button on all pages at once with Optimizely?

Re: Test general Add to cart button text change

You should just be able to load one page with the add to cart button into the editor and change it accordingly. Then, in your targeting settings, set the experiment to run on all of the pages that include this button. In most cases, a substring match will do the trick.

This will cause the button change created in the editor to show up on all of the pages that meet the targeting conditions.

Does this help?

Re: Test general Add to cart button text change

@JohnH has provided a solution that should work.

Do you have a common URL structure across your pages that contain Add to Cart buttons, such as:
http://url.com/products/xxxx

If so you can target the substring of the URL.

If you paste up your URL we can take a look, or DM one of us with it if you don't want it on the forum.

To add to the discussion, this article from our Knowledge Base illustrates the process of changing an element site-wide and could be really useful to you: https://learn.optimizely.com/hc/en-us/articles/201943793
