Testing performance of a new page

We've launched a few brand new pages on the website and we want to test their impact towards our key conversion metrics.  In the past when we launch new features, A/B testing (control vs variant) has been very helpful to show the impact of the change on a single or set of pages.

For brand new pages, however, it's a little harder since you have nothing to set as the control to compare to.  One thought I have is to set up a test where I'm comparing metrics of users who have seen the new page vs users who have not.  Is there a way to do that in Optimizely?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Testing performance of a new page

One way you can achieve this is by creating a custom segment that visitors will be allocated into - you can then segment future tests by that segment to view how that portion of your traffic fares overall in comparison to other visitors who have not seen that page. Here's more information on setting up custom segments: https://help.optimizely.com/Analyze_Results/Segment_your_results
