Using Optimizely X Web with Full Stack

I've scoured the docs for an answer and come up empty. I'm hoping someone here can help Smiley Happy

I'd like to enable my marketing team to setup experiments with the Optimizely X Web product using the Visual Editor. But, there are certain events that need to tracked server side (our conversions happen "offline"). I know that through the Full Stack SDK I can do something like:

optimizely.track('SOME_CONVERSION", user_id)

The problem is that my user_id here isn't the same as what the Web product is using for its front-end segmenting. Does anyone know how I can track a conversion event on the back end for a user that was segmented via the visual editor?

You need to associate the front-end web product's ID with the user_id on the back. Depending on what you're tracking, you can set up this up as a custom event in your project's implementation.

Interesting. Do you know where I can learn more about how to do what you're saying? I've scoured the docs and haven't found any information for how to do this.
