Video placement on page

Hi All I am testing Optimizely. I am trying to place a video on my landing page. I use the YoutTube embed code and get the right size, but when I 'insert HTML' in the page, it places the video on the furthest edge of the page. I moved it around on my Macbook but when there is a wider window - the look seems wrong. I have a column of text on the right - and the video on the left. Ideally I would like to arrange the video so it sticks to the right hand side of the space next to the text - rather than moving out to the left edge...how can I do this? Thanks

Re: Video placement on page

Hi,

can you provide an URL? It is easier to answer, if one can see the real code :-)

Re: Video placement on page

Hi - which URL do you want - can I give the preview for the experiment or does that require my login...

Re: Video placement on page

No :-) the url of the page, you want to change is sufficient. I would just like to see the structure of your page to get an idea of your objective and to provide better help.
Kind regards

Re: Video placement on page

ok thanks Couch.

This is the page:

http://www.theoptimumhealthclinic.com/free-report/

You can see the Image next to the main text - a headshot...I want to replace it with this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCHgu-9Zlk8

I deteled the image in my variation, and intersted HTML the youtube embed code (resized to around 380 wide)...

Re: Video placement on page

I have played with it a bit more in optimizely...

I guessed that the image had some positioning info in the html so rather than deleting that I inserted the embed code in the place of the image...

Now I roughly have what I need (correct position which stays next to the text on the right with larger/smaller windows) however annoyingly - there is one < at the top of the video...

Here is the html code in the box:

<div class="leftside" style="position: relative; left: -53px; top: 0px;">&lt;<iframe width="400" height="225" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mCHgu-9Zlk8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="">&amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;gt;</iframe></div>

Re: Video placement on page

The < results from the first &lt; in your code.
