Why is the click goal a bigger number than the engagement number?

Hi,

I'm getting multiple experiments where the goal (a tracked click) is higher than the

engagement of the page.

This doesn't make sense to me because engagement stats would include the goal clicks, but the goal shouldn't include the engagement.

What's going on here?

Is the goals being tracked properly?

I found the same question that was never resolved from 2015:

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting your question here! Is your click goal on the same page as your experiment? If so, it's possible that the conversion on the engagement goal is less than that of the click goal (unlikely but possible).

If not, there might be an issue with your click goal not tracking properly as you're saying. In the last case, can you PM me your experiment-ID? Then I can go in and have a look.

Best,
Nils
