Will Redirect Experiment traffic be cross pollinated?

Hi,

I want to run a redirect experiment test between 2 URLs:

Our homepage: www.example.com (First URL) vs

Our other landing page: promos.example.com/testing (Second URL)

I read from the forum that it is possible. However, I wonder when visitors to the Second URL happen to browse around Google and click on an ad or a organic search result, they might be directed to the homepage which is the First URL.

Will Optimizely make sure that visitors will ONLY see one version of the test (one URL)?

Thanks!

Re: Will Redirect Experiment traffic be cross pollinated?

Hi,

Yes, Optimizely will make sure that people who've been already in your new variant (the redirect) will be forwarded to the new landing page. So also if they come from a new page or traffic source, as long as Optimizely is enabled and implemented on these pages it will make sure that the user is redirected.
